Call for Book Chapters 2015

Internet of Things: System and Technical Perspectives

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new paradigm that integrates physical objects with telecommunication networks.  The integration initiates a tighter connection between the cyber space and the physical reality and will move towards pervasive and ubiquitous computing solutions, entailing increasingly higher requirements on seamless integration, heterogeneity, scalability, mobility, safety, reliability, security and many more.

The goal of this volume is to solicit high-quality papers presenting original research on the IoT that are related to network and human-centered computing; security and privacy; and computer organization and hardware.  Submissions could consist of theoretical and applied research in topics including, but not limited to:

  • Networking architecture and protocols for IoT
  • Machine-to-machine communication
  • Adaptive and autonomic computing in the IoT
  • Mobility management in the IoT and machine-to-machine paradigm
  • Security and privacy in IoT scenarios
  • Ubiquitous computing solutions in the IoT
  • Enabling technologies and standards for the IoT and machine-to-machine communications
  • Inter-networking with other technologies and systems
  • Next generation of open platforms and novel hardware for the IoT
