Azah Kamilah Draman @ Muda is a senior lecturer at Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FTMK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). She received her degree and master in Computer Science (Software Engineering) and her Ph.D in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Her Ph.D thesis was about investigating the representation of unique significant features for Individuality of Handwriting in Writer identification domain. Her research interests include soft computing, pattern recognition, image processing, machine learning, computational intelligence and hybrid systems. Her current research work is on pattern anaysis of Handwriting and Drug Discovery domain and can be seeing in her publications in various international journal and conference proceedings. She is a member of Computational Intelligences and Technologies Lab at FTMK and MIR_Labs, Europe. Dr Azah also serves as Editorial Boards of various international journal such as International Journal of Computing and Applications (JCA), International Association for Computer Scientists and Engineers (IACSE), International Journal of Advances in Soft Computing and Its Applications (IJASCA), International Journal of Network and Innovative Computing (JNIC) and International Journal of Computer Information Systems and Industrial Management Applications (IJCISM). She also has been involved in organizing international conference as aorganizing chair, program committee chair, publication chair and reviewer for SoCPaR, HIS, ISDA, IAS, CaSON, NWeSP, WICT,CSNT, NABIC,CICN, Graphite etc. She is a member of Technical Committee of Soft Computing for IEEE Systems, Man & Cybermatic Society. Besides research, Dr Azah also involved in curriculum development at FTMK. She was appointed as the Head of Department for Software Engineering department for 4 years (2009-2012) which needs to incharge two bachelor programs, which are Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Development) and Bachelor of Computer Science (Database Management). Those experience are so valuable that leads her to get involved in curriculum development for other university as well. Dr Azah also has 15 years experience in teaching of variuos subjects including Programming, Data Structure and Algorithms, C++, Java, MFC,Object Oriented Programming, Neural Network, Image Processing and Artificial Intelligent. She hope she can contribute something if not everything to the paramount improvement to the society.
