Biography
Safiza Suhana Kamal Baharin is a lecturer at Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, UTeM. She received his Diploma in Regional and Town Planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 1995 before she continues her study in Bsc. of Geoinformatics (with Hons) in UTM until 1997. After that, she furthers her MSc by research also in Science Geoinformatics before start to work at Kolej Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (KUTKM) as a tutor in 2001. Since she receives her MSc of Geoinformatics in 2002 until now, she works as Lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). As an active academician in Faculty of ICT, she has been teaching a lot of IT related courses such as Programming Computer Technique using C++, Workshop 1, Database, Database programming, Web application development, Software Engineering, Geographical Information System (GIS), Programming 1 and web programming. Aside from teaching, she also involve in supervising undergraduate students (PSM), producing a few subject modules, seminar and conference paper as well as book chapters. Safiza Suhana is currently pursuing her study in PhD level. Her research interests are in Spatial Databases, GIS, Moving Object database, Spatial analysis and Disaster Management.
