Biography
Noraswaliza Abdullah is a senior lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering, teaching programming and database subjects. She is also a member of the faculty's Computational Intelligence Technology Research Group. Her research interests include data mining, recommender system, and database technology. She received her honors degree in Management Information System from Universiti Sains Malaysia, her master degree in Management Information System from Universiti Putra Malaysia and her PhD in Recommender System area from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her PhD work includes exploring user generated contents from the Internet to extract knowledge for recommendation by applying data mining techniques and developing a novel hybrid recommender technique for recommending infrequently purchased products.
