Mashanum Osman has a Master in Computer Science and BSc. (Hons.) in Information Technology. She has nearly 6 years of experience teaching undergraduate level Computer Science apart from her 2 years of experience in the IT industry. She had also received a Japanese government sponsorship known as The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) for a specialized IT training program which was held in Yokohama, Japan. She is also actively served as technical committee for various international conferences.
She joined Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, previously known as Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia (KUTKM) in 2004 as a Lecturer at Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. Prior to that, Mrs Mashanum Osman was Multimedia Programmer in a local IT company and was involved in various educational courseware projects.
Her current research interest includes Mobile Learning, Evaluation for ICT and Language Learning and Computers in Education. She has published articles on some of these subjects and received an award from one of her publications. She also applies her skills and knowledge through research and consultations projects with industries.
