Biography
Mohd Zaki is a Senior Lecturer in Computer and Communication System, teaching theory and practical in Honours Core Subject, IT and Network Security. Zaki obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronic from Multimedia University (MMU) and Masters in IT (Computer Science) FromUniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Started his Career as Assistant Manager in Telekom Malaysia Berhad in 2000 and has been exposed to corporate life for one year before he decided to become an academician and researcher He started his Academic career in Multimedia University (MMU) in 2001 as Assistant Lecturer at the Foundation Studies and Extension Education (FOSEE). During his tenancy at MMU, Zaki is responsible in teaching Physics and Computer Application as well as an active trainer for the local community and international participant especially under the Malaysian Technical Corporation Program (MTCP) of the EPU of the Prime Minister Office. He is also exposes to some consultancy work such asdeveloping an online system for the department and several government agencies. He joined UniversitiTeknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) in 2007 as a Lecturer for FakultiTeknologiMaklumat Dan Komunikasi (FTMK). Certified with Ethical Hacking (CEH) in 2009 from EC-council, Zaki specialization is revolving around the area of computer and network security. Prior to his specialization, he has been entrusted to coordinate the development of Bachelor Degree program in computer security for FTMK and the 2nd International Cryptology Conference (CRYPTOLOGY 2010). Additionally,Zakihas also a keen interest on network and Software development. To date he is also a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), Certified IPv6 Network Engineer (CNE6) and a Certified Cisco Academy Instructor (CCAI). Zakiis actively involved in Computer and Network security research especially on Intrusion Detection system for both IPv4 and IPv6 network technology. He joined 1 LRGS project and has received 1 FRGS and 7 short grant researches to fund his research. 10 years in the academic world has given him a skill in technical writing and has developed his passion toward writing technical paper. This has given him the opportunity to publish 2 text books on physics, 4 Lab Modules, 10 International Journals, 16 International Conferences, 19 National Conferences and a few internal articles for his faculty. As an academician he regards research and publication as a priority especially in publishing technical journal papers in ISI-indexed journals as well as high impact journal.
