Najwan Khambari earned his B.Sc in Computer Science (Computer Networking) from Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2006. He then gained his second degree in M.Sc in Wireless Computer Networking from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) in 2009. In 2022, he obtained his Ph.D in Computer Science specializing in Quality of Experience (QoE) and Quality of Services (QoS) in wireless media network.
Najwan Khambari previously worked as a Research Assistant (RA) in 2008 before being offered a part-time lecturer position while he was doing his M.Sc degree at UTeM in 2009. Upon completing his M.Sc, he was then offered as a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Information ond Communication Technology (FTMK), UTeM. Prior to working as an RA, he served for a short stint as a Network Operator at Maxis Communications Bhd, Subang Hi-Tech where he was involved in maintaining the availability and performance of EDGE and 3G network communications all over the country.
His research interest includes network infrastructure and performance analysis, besides network services, protocols and performance in wireless networks and video streaming. He is also interested in open-source resources and network simulations where he is actively involved in NS-2 and NS-3 simulators. Currently, he is also involved in developing and researching in the area of Internet of Things (IoT), to unearth and developing students' talents especially by supervising their Final Year Projects to come up with fresh idea and inventions.
