Biography
Dr. Nur Zareen Zulkarnain received her BTech. (Hons) degree from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2011, an MSc. from The University of Manchester, UK in 2012 and a PhD. in Computer Science from the University of Salford, UK in 2017. Her BTech. (Hons) Final Year Project was titled "FaceSnap: Game-based Courseware as a Learning Tool for Children with Social Impairment" while her MSc. research was titled "Sloodle to Aid Distance Learning of Cellular Network Handover". The title of her PhD research is "A Medical Ultrasound Reporting System Based on Domain Ontology" where she investigates the effectiveness of using natural language processing in allowing flexibility for doctors in writing their report yet producing a standardised electronic copy. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Intelligent Computing & Analytics, FTMK.
