The department of Intelligent Computing and Analytics (ICA) under the Faculty of Technology & Communication, UTeM had initiated a robotic challenge ROBORACE in 2008. The event is held annually to encourage students to demonstrate their ideas and skills in robotics.

To continue the spirit of the creative and innovative spectrum, ICA introduced a new competition: “UTeM AI Innovation Challenge 2021”. The main objective of this program is to build leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication skills and other soft skills useful for students’ future career paths. Besides, the programme is hoping to attract interest in artificial intelligence (AI).

This year, we open up the competition to our Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence (BITI) students and young innovators (school category) to take this challenge to build any project related to AI. This competition is a collaboration event with the Division of Sports Education and Arts, Ministry of Education Malaysia, IEEE Systems, Man & Cybernetics Society (SMC) Malaysia Chapter.
