I'm a lecturer at the Department of Intelligent Computing and Analytics (ICA), Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) where I have been a faculty member since 2003. I completed my PhD in Queensland University of Technology, Australia. My Phd research focuses on SaaS Resource Management System in Cloud Computing using Evolutionary Computation. I did my MSc at University of Edinburgh, Scotland and my undergrad study is at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor. I am also a certified Malaysian Information Technology Professional (MITPE), EMC Data Science Associate and RapidMiner Analyst.

    Throughout my service in UTeM, I have taught many IT-related subjects , focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science courses. Additionally, I have conducted a number of workshops and training including Fundamental of Data Science, Introduction to R, RapidMiner Analyst, Optimization Method for Research, Genetic Algorithm, Writing Thesis using LaTeX and Ms Word and LISP Programming Course. I was also involved in setting up a new course for undergraduate study in UTeM, which is the BSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence), and leading a committee in creating Master of Technology (Data Science and Analytics) programme.

    My research interests lie in the area of intelligent systems, with a focus on developing intelligent algorithm to improve the system's quality. In recent years, my research focus is on optimization using evolutionary computation techniques, data science and analytics, expert system and Cloud computing area.

In my spare time, I can be found baking, playing table tennis, or enjoying good books, food and theatre.
