Rules and Regulations

 
  1. Only 1 entry is allowed per participant.
  2. Each entry must produce an innovative product according to the theme of the competition.  
  3. Each product must meet the following criteria: 
    • FREE to use any programming or platform.
    • FREE in any form, e.g. hardware, software, cloud, etc.
    • MUST be in the form of a tangible prototype/product (minimum viable product, MVP), either physical, digital, combination, etc.
    • MUST use/have Artificial Intelligence (AI) elements in the product/prototype.
  4. Each entry must submit extended abstract and video about the product.
  5. The duration of the competition is as follows:
    • School Category: 15 August – 5 October 2021
    • UTeM Category: 15 August – 22 September 2021
    • Closing Ceremony: 20 October 2021

Video Presentation Guidelines

  1. Presentation can either in English or Malay.
  2. The video should not be more than 5 minutes in length.
  3. These details must be included in video presentation:
    • a. Introduction (Please insert Program logo)
    • b. Project title
    • c. Names of teams and members
    • d. Institutional name & logo
    • e. Objective(s)
  4. Participants are encouraged to include any suitable information related to the product/design idea.
  5. Video settings:
    • Type : MP4 (Must be playable in Google Drive)
    • Must be uploaded as one single file with high
      definition (HD)
    • Duration : Maximum of 5 minutes

Judging Criteria

The judging criteria include the following (from the extended abstract and video submission):

  1. Originality (The novelty and uniqueness of the product in term of AI related project ).
  2. Usefulness (Relevance in solving the problems concerned and potential benefits to end users on different levels).
  3. Commercial Potential.
  4. Video Presentation (The presentation should be brief, clear and concise).
