Overhead of FTPS and SFTP in IPv6 Tunneling Networks
Idea - FTPS and FTP over IPsec are cost effective methods of securing FTP. These methods provide much better authentication and encryption functionalities for file transfer communication. Besides this, these methods introduce processing overhead and packet overhead for file transferring to different extends. This idea is to compares and contrasts the overhead of secure file transfer methods over a few IPv6 tunneling mechanisms.
Performance Analysis of Packet and Datagram Transmission over IPv6 Dual-Stack Networks.
Idea - Several types of IPv6 transition mechanisms have been developed to facilitate the migration of IPv4 to the new protocol, IPv6. Although all transition mechanisms have the same objective, the process necessitates compliance with their respective capabilities. The idea is to evaluate of the transition mechanism namely Dual-Stack in terms of data transmission. The assessment will based upon experimental work that will be conducted under controlled environment. Peer-to-peer network performance software will used to obtain the throughput, round trip time and processing overhead. The packet and datagram value will be used for the two types of transmission protocols, namely TCP and UDP.
IPv6 Transition Mechanism Attack Detector
Idea- With the growth of Internet, IPv6 are starting to be put into use more widely on global internet, is expected to fully replace IPv4 in the future. With this growth, some vulnerabilities has been identified in this protocol suite and be used in some malicious tool. Furthermore this mechanism also has been manipulated as a platform to perform various threats. The idea is mainly focus on develop a tool that can detect and prevent that kind of attack. Perhaps it can be a framework to detect future attack on ipv6 Transition Mechanism Network.
