Effective visualization help users explore and understand data better. It is also able to stimulate the understanding that ultimately allows users to translate their understanding when communicating.

The Role of Visualization

Visualization serves to help users identify the most important information of the data that being displayed. Effective Visualization able to avoid users from being diverted from the real meaning of an interface. A big picture or complex idea can be delivered easily using the right Visualization technique.

The Principles of Visualization

Visualization refers to the methods of delivering information using ‘holistic’ understanding ‘. Visualization elements enable users to get a comprehensive and clear understandings about what is being shown. Visual element helpful environment make users feel real. It makes users feel supported when dealing with interfaces, and thus influence user to achieve the objectives. Visualization is different with ‘Graphics’. Graphics focuses on how to represent data on a computer screen while the Visualization emphasis on how to deliver data in interactive way and easy for user understandings.

Think about the information that User needs and visualize it in the way that could reach user understanding.

Meaning Accuracy
Visualization – without leaving the details information, should present the real meanings of the data that being displayed.

Visual should be clear, concise and most importantly able to get the attention and focus of the user.

ASRaR – Motivation from Visualization

Visualization is like a picture on the screen that involves Users interpretation of what is actually being taught.

It involves the process of 5M, where users perform self-interpretation process involving matters related to understanding (memahamkan), interpreting (menggambarkan), experiencing (mengalami), describing (menjelaskan) and remembering (mengingatkan).

ASRAR Model is a method of delivering information of Home Network referring to the 5M process, which makes tools USER FRIENDLY. USER FRIENDLY approach becomes more valuable by the injection of Persuasive Sustainability elements.

Good visualization enhances the understanding of user on the subject matter. It must enhance the objective of the screen and at the same time meet the expectations of users.
