Info-graphic are the SOP for accessing Lab.

Who can access the labs in FTMK this semester?

A person who has completed their COVID-19 vaccination is eligible to access the labs in FTMK.

What is the procedure to ensure a person has completed their COVID-19 vaccination?

The procedure is inherited from UTeM’s procedure. If a person is allowed to pass through the UTeM’s post guard checking, he is deemed to have complied with the procedure that has been set by UTeM.

Is MySejahtera QR Code available at all FTMK’s labs?

The MySejahtera QR Code is available on each door of FTMK’s lab. A person must scan the MySejahtera QR code before entering the lab.

Do I have to put on a mask and maintain social distance during the lab session?

You are required to put on a mask and maintain social distance during the lab session. We must cooperate to comply with the procedure that has been set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Are there any dedicated entry and leaving points at FTMK labs?

There are dedicated entry and leaving points at FTMK labs. The entry and leaving points are marked with arrows and signages.

Consecutive Lab Sessions of Different Courses

For a consecutive lab session of different courses, the lecturer is advised to finish the lab session 5 minutes before it is ended as per schedule. This will give ample time for the students and the lecturer to prepare themselves to leave to the lab. The lecturer and the students may leave the lab using the designated leaving points.

The lecturer and the students for the next lab session may enter the lab once the previous lab session has emptied it. Use the designated entry point to enter the lab.

We need your full cooperation to adhere to this procedure to minimise human contact between two consecutive lab sessions. We shall practice this procedure until further notice.

Will lab equipment be sanitised after a lab session has ended?

The FTMK Lab Management will request from the contracted cleaning service to sanitise the table if there are no subsequent sessions. Surface sanitisation is a time-consuming process and not feasible for two consecutive lab sessions.

Can I use my sanitiser to sanitise the equipment?

You are prohibited from using your sanitiser to spray on surfaces (such as tables) and other equipment. However, you can use your own disposable sanitising or anti-bacterial wipes to wipe the table.

Spraying on the surface and equipment is strictly prohibited due to the safety of the user when using electronic equipment.

Throw the used wipes in the dustbin or waste paper basket. Be a responsible user.

Will FTMK close the lab if the users are positive COVID-19?

FTMK will close the affected lab if there is a positive COVID-19 declared by a user. Therefore, the users must scan the MySejahtera QR code on the door for better contact tracing and safety.

How will FTMK inform the closure of the lab?

Announcements will be made at FTMK social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Follow any of these social media of FTMK.

We need your full cooperation to adhere to the procedures and the SOP designed by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. We must work together to ensure the safety of our learning place.
